New IPL Bowling Rules

A significant change in IPL 2024 is the allowance of two bouncers per over, a rule trialed in the 2023–24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. A bouncer, defined as a ball passing above the batter’s shoulder height, will be deemed a wide if it exceeds the shoulder height or a no-ball if it surpasses the head height. Introduced in IPL 2023, the Impact Player Rule continues in 2024. This rule allows teams to name five substitution players in addition to their playing XI after the toss. Decision Review System (DRS) Enhancements

In IPL 2024, players can use the Decision Review System (DRS) to challenge umpire decisions on wides and no-balls. IPL Team Composition Flexibility

A notable change in IPL 2024 is the removal of the requirement for captains to submit team sheets at the toss.
